Lubov Semizorova - tapestry artist
(b. 1954 in Kizyl Kia, Kyrgyzstan)
1988 graduated from Tashkent Institute of
Performing and Fine Arts
Since 1999 Lubov is a member of the Uzbekistan
Academy of Arts.
For many years she remains a respected Head of
Ferghana chapter of the Artists Association of Uzbekistan.
Since 1989 Lubov participated in many national and
international exhibitions of fine and applied art.
Her tapestries are on display in the Tashkent
Central Exhibition Hall, Atrium Gallery in Moscow, Samarkand National
Museum, Art Gallery of the National Bank of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan
National Museum of Fine Arts, Fergana Museum of Ethnography, and many
other local galleries and museums. Private collectors from many
countries keep her works in their collections.
Lubov's favourite "medium" is yarn but she also
practices easel painting, graphic arts, cheegrass, and batik.
