Alisher Hamidov - painter
(b. 1953 in Fergana, Uzbekistan)
1978 graduated from Benkov National College of Arts.
Since 1999 Alisher is a member of the Uzbekistan Academy of
Arts.
Since 1985 participated in many national and international
exhibitions of fine art.
His paintings are exhibited in the Samarkand National Museum,
Art Gallery of the National Bank of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan National
Museum of Fine Arts, and Fergana Museum of Ethnography. Private
collectors from Uzbekistan, Russia, Israel, United States and
many other countries keep Alisher's paintings in their collections.
Alisher's talent is so diverse and versatile. His painting
style can be described as being abstact - expressionist; he often
mixes fictional world with reality.
His art also includes various plastic forms: metal smithery,
sculpture, as well as patchwork and drawing. Alisher derives
his inspiration from frequent treks in the beautiful mountains
surrounding Fergana valley.
